VASE JACQUARD SHIRT

This long shirt is inspired by the works of ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda. One of the jars created by Kamoda is densely covered with circular patterns drawn all over its surface, retaining a strong sense of the soil’s texture. To express the texture and look of this jar in textile form, the fabric is woven on a jacquard loom while changing the colors of the warp and weft threads to evoke the texture of cracked earth. The jar’s vivid glaze is expressed by twisting two slightly thicker cotton threads of different colors together with lamé threads of another color during weaving, highlighting luster and a three-dimensional quality. The form that wraps the body is inspired by the jar’s shape. The pattern of this product varies from item to item. Please note this in advance.
