CURVINESS

These pants are from a series inspired by the works of ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda. The textured quality of his pots, characterized by striped patterns created through multicolored glazes, is delicately reproduced using a computer-controlled jacquard loom. The strategic use of cotton and linen threads has created depth and an uneven texture within the pattern. The rounded form of his works and the patterns painted on seamlessly are expressed through unique cutting techniques. The fabric used for the pants, though medium weight, is finished with a lightweight feel due to its special weave structure.
