The Story

A vest inspired by ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda’s work “Bowl, Ash Glaze .” It is a piece that features a striking contrast between the pale celadon hue achieved using ash glaze, which is primarily composed of plant ash, and the exposed texture of clay. This unique coloring and the pattern of the potter’s wheel visible on the bowl’s interior are reproduced through pigment printing. Subtle variations in pigment application are created by printing directly onto the finished product, bringing out natural gradations with depth.
