KASURI

This jacket is from a series that offers a modern expression of the traditional Kasuri dyeing technique, in which a single thread is partially dyed separately to create uneven shading. Three types of cotton threads of varying thicknesses are dyed separately using the Chusen method, then arranged as warp and weft threads and woven on a jacquard loom.
