This sleeveless dress features a minimalist construction, with a zipper sewn along the edge of a single piece of fabric. By slipping the body into this simple tube, a beautiful silhouette and interplay between cloth and body are created. The material is a washi paper-blend stretch fabric developed from the thread itself. It uses marl yarn with gentle twists of washi paper and cotton for the weft, weaving it in a plain kuzushi-style weave with different shades to express a stone-like texture. Reducing the number of warp threads highlights the inherent mottled texture of the material.
