CONCEALED

This dress is created from a single pattern, like drawing the body and the space around it onto a single canvas. By further advancing the simple structure of “forming a tube from a single piece of cloth and slipping it over the body,” we created a beautiful form that consciously reflects the interplay between body and cloth. The fabric uses thick Japanese Washi thread blended with 60/- cotton thread, woven into a slightly textured structure. The fabric’s inherent rigidity is leveraged to accentuate the three-dimensionality of the space, while the body-hugging fit emphasizes the contrast between the body and its surrounding space.
